About Us
Happy Faces Day Care is an in-home day care licensed by the state of California, conveniently located in downtown San Carlos. In our program, children experience a unique blend of fun, learning, and nurturing. By providing a safe and loving environment, we gently encourage children to discover their individual strengths and unique talents.. We treat our clients like family, and strive to provide personalized care for each child. Our mission is to help children feel loved, and to grow with confidence.
Our Facility
We are located 3 blocks from downtown San Carlos, across the street from the city library, and a short walk to Burton Park. Our bright, spacious, and warm facility includes a large, main room (equivalent to approx. 2BR) for play, activities, and dining, plus two separate napping/changing rooms to accommodate children with different needs. Most of that space is dedicated solely to day care use. The fully secured outdoor play area behind the home includes large grass, turf, and paved zones with lots of play structures, toys, sandboxes, and more, and plenty of room to run around.
Our Staff
Happy Faces is run by a mother and daughter team, each of whom are mothers to two children. Tonia has over 25 years experience in education, from pre-school through 8th grade. Ana Maria is a former attorney who became a full-time mom, and then took the opportunity to co-found this new business. Her children Matthew (8 years old) and Emma (5 years old) are often around too, and enjoy playing with the kids in the day care.
